Great Cincy Strides

We all know that walking is good for us. It strengthens the heart and muscles, lowers cholesterol, aids digestion, reduces stress and helps you feel and sleep better. Exercising outdoors has been shown to boost those benefits, and is one of the best ways to start a fitness routine that’s actually fun.

We’re fortunate to live in a region rich in wonderful walking paths and hiking trails. So make a goal to see more, walk more and explore your city as part of Great Cincy Strides.

Walk or Hike

Set a goal to walk or hike at least 150 miles on any Great Parks’ trail, neighborhood route or other trail in the Greater Cincinnati area. Join us on one of our hikes or one of the Walk with a Doc events.

Track Progress

Keep track of your accomplishments. Log where, when and length of the trail or path you walked. The mileage tracker on your Trail Journal page will keep a running total of miles walked and how many you need to go to reach the next level.

Celebrate Goals

Great Cincy Strides will have you achieving your goals one mile at a time. As you hit bronze, silver and gold-level milestones, you will earn digital trophies and prizes including a lunch cooler bag, fleece blanket and sweatshirt. Every participant will get a free T-shirt.

Bronze Level - 150 Miles

 

Silver Level - 350 Miles

Gold Level - 550 Miles

Your mileage tracker on your Trail Journal page will be reset annually, but every year you will get a new badge showing how many years you’ve been involved.
